It's a small place on Calle San Miguel with only around a dozen rooms. My check-in was a little awkward because reception was closed when I arrived, and the shower has seen better days. There was a breakfast buffet, though I didn't try it. For a budget stay, it has all the expected basics: TV, air con, fan, an in-room safe, fridge and a plunge pool on the roof. Very good.

I've stayed here three times. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and there's free parking close by, with The Balcon easy to reach. You only get local TV, but it's a hostel, not The Hilton. If you want UK TV, stay in the UK. I'll definitely use it again.

The rooms and corridors were exceptionally clean, and having a safe and fridge in the room was a bonus. The bathroom lighting is very dim. The rooftop could use a clean, and some of the furniture needs replacing.

The room was great, but there's no satellite TV for English people, and the bathroom smelled quite bad. Avoid rooms 205 and 206: they're very noisy because the apartment above has a washing machine and tumble dryer running all night. Sorry, San Miguel, but that's been our experience.

The location is great, close to the centre, and the hostel is good quality. The staff were really helpful: when I called, they sent me a Google pin showing where I could park for free not too far away.
