The staff were so friendly and made the stay really memorable. We had a fabulous New Year’s Eve dinner, and the party was a lot of fun. The food was wonderful, with a great selection of local wines, and the birding was stunning. There were lovely hiking routes, and we enjoyed the spa too. One of the most beautiful Paradores we’ve stayed in. We’ll definitely come back!

Staying in this well renovated historic building was a unique experience, and the rooms were comfortable. I do wish there had been more connection to the monastery’s religious life. My wife and I wanted to pray in the church in the morning, but it stayed closed until 10am. There wasn’t a chapel, library, or another quiet place for contemplation. I understand the main purpose is to run a hotel, and it is a nice one, but it’s a shame that a former monastery doesn’t also offer a space for people who want to begin the day with prayer and reflection.

The front desk sorted out a problem with our future reservation and handled it very professionally. Everyone working there went above and beyond to make our stay incredible. The building’s restoration and location are spectacular, and staying in such a beautiful piece of history was an amazing experience. The restaurant, breakfast, and bar were all great, and there are lovely hiking trails nearby. There’s also a small shop by the turn up to the hotel selling local artists’ products, definitely worth a stop. Highly recommend staying here.

We only stopped to see the Parador, but ended up having drinks and snacks and were very happy we did. The hotel is incredible and well maintained, the staff were lovely and accommodating, and the café was lovely too. Worth stopping in!
