Quinfer

We stayed in a triple room in the second half of July. The location right on the beach is unbeatable, and the staff were excellent. Reception and dining room staff were attentive and made sure we had what we needed. The chef was the best part: if something on the menu didn’t appeal, he’d prepare whatever dish you wanted, and he’s a great cook. The hotel itself is modest and basic, though. The furniture is quite old, and the beds, windows and bathroom all need replacing. The rooms need a proper renovation, and the cleanliness left something to be desired.

We were two adults and two children, staying a week in July across two spacious rooms. Parking was included, and the hotel is right on the beach. The service felt warm and welcoming, the food was home-cooked, and they offered alternatives if we didn’t like something. Excellent value for money, all in all a very good choice.

I wouldn’t return. The rooms were old, but breakfast was the real disaster. It was badly organized and there was hardly anything. They had no bakery bread, only a few slices of sliced bread, so everyone had to keep asking for more. Milk and coffee ran out too, with things appearing only now and then. There was just one home-style toaster for the whole hotel, and no fruit at all. They should have planned better for a weekend in July.

The breakfast was excellent, and the beachfront location is fine. The hotel is dated, especially the rooms, and the food was poor quality, almost like something for kindergarten. We were offered a beef steak but got half a steak at the table. Then they offered pork cheeks, but served only two bite-sized pieces, more like a bar tapa than a main course.
