Really lovely experience. Visiting the church is a must, it's another Gaudi masterpiece.

If you're hoping for a coffee, leave at least two hours. I've tried three Sunday mornings now, and service is painfully slow. There's just one waiter covering indoors and the terrace. Whether you're first or last, he takes orders from whichever table he chooses, goes to the kitchen, then comes back and takes another order before disappearing again. Pointing out how disorganized it is only gets a rude response. Such a shame, since it'd be a lovely place for coffee and the views. They need more staff.

The view of the santuario was lovely, and the food was surprisingly good for such reasonable prices. We ordered the €10 per person menu of the day: two starters, cold onion soup and mixed salads, a choice of main, which for us was escalop napolitana and a pot of lentils and beans, plus a dessert choice and a drink. Both mains were good, and the white chocolate mousse was our dessert. Everything tasted good and was nicely presented. I especially liked that the menu had vegetarian options.

We were a big group, and the staff handled us really well. The food and drinks were excellent, with friendly, helpful service and very reasonable prices. It’s a new place for people visiting the Castle and Church, or just stopping to enjoy the views. We’ll definitely come back.
