Lago Resort

I planned to stay one night while bikepacking through Spain, but it’s so nice that I’m extending my stay. Despite the questionable reviews, this has been the best campsite of my trip. The facilities are great, the grounds are laid out well, and the restaurant is awesome. I didn’t run into any of the problems other people mentioned, and I’d strongly recommend staying here.

The pool was closed at the end of May, even with temperatures at 40°C. Seems to be the trend in this country. If this keeps up, tourists will avoid natural places and crowd into cities, clogging the streets and annoying locals. Do something about it.

The lake view is perfect, and the road in front hardly has any traffic, with none at night. The restaurant staff are super friendly, the pool is clean, and the amenities were immaculate. I expected the toilet and shower to smell by late afternoon, but they were spotless. The new bungalows are much better quality. The campsite had a bad previous owner, but thankfully the new owners are working very hard to improve it. I’d definitely recommend staying here, though they could replace a few sunbeds.

The bungalow was listed as 50 m², but it felt like 20 m² or less. The house is split in two with no sound insulation, so we could hear the neighbors perfectly, and their noise woke us up. You can only reach the shower and toilet through a private room. For such a high price, there was no hand soap, kitchen knife, or hair dryer, and the outside lights didn’t work. The worst bungalows I’ve ever stayed in.
