The spa treatment was a 10/10, and the staff were friendly throughout. I especially remember the gentleman at breakfast, who gave us a proper old-school five-star welcome, and the helpful receptionist at checkout. The hotel has real historic charm, lovely surroundings, clean rooms, and very good facilities. Around €400 a night feels fair for what you get, and the quality is still very good by Galician standards. There were several things that could have gone better. My 84-year-old parents had to stand at check-in, with no seat or drink offered, and we had to ask before anyone helped with our luggage. We were told our “sea view plus with thermal club” room would have a balcony, but it didn’t, and the rooms weren’t side by side as implied. Our keys needed reprogramming, one room had no coffee capsules, and we were given only one bottle of water. There was no poolside service, and breakfast had no champagne, menu, or à la carte options. The spa lift was broken, and we noticed some small maintenance problems, including rust and broken lights. The place has a high standard for Galicia, thanks to its location, character, and friendly staff. Clearer booking details, more consistent service, and a few upgrades would make a difference.

We came here for a wedding with my wife and three kids, and liked the hotel enough to add two more days to our stay. The staff and location were great, and we had a really good experience. Make sure to reserve a place in the indoor spa if you go. It was $20 for 90 minutes, with lots of extra amenities.

We had a spacious corner room with a great view. There was plenty of hot water, and it came through quickly. Breakfast offered a wide selection and the quality was good, with a beautiful ocean view from the dining room. The pool and gym were good too.

The room had lovely views, and the hotel was clean with great service. La Toja is a beautiful island to visit, and O Grove has plenty to offer. I love this part of the world.

The breakfast buffet was a real treat, with lots of good-quality choices and a sea view. The spa also had a wide range of treatments, and the facilities were comfortable to use. The staff were attentive, professional, and friendly. Pepe and Jaime in the restaurant dinner service deserve a special mention. They were kind and careful with my multiple food allergies, adapting the menu whenever needed. Our room was beautiful and comfortable, and had a couple of unusual touches I really appreciated: a diffuser with the hairdryer and a vertical steam iron. I hadn’t found those in a hotel before. Everything was very clean, and the homemade air freshener, as they told us, gave the place a pleasant scent. It was a superb stay, with excellent facilities and service. I’d definitely come back and recommend it.
