We loved how tucked away this place is, in a beautiful part of Galicia’s northern coast. Sergio made us feel very welcome and went out of his way to make sure we had what we needed. The house itself is lovely, and breakfast is generous. You’ll want a car, since there isn’t much nearby. There’s a beach and restaurant within walking distance, though we found even lovelier beaches a short drive away. Viveiro is also close. Book directly and breakfast is included in the price. I’d happily recommend it to anyone wanting to get away from it all.

We were very comfortable here, and it’s an easy walk to the sandy beach at Paia de San Román and the Punta O Fuciño do Porco viewpoint. The old stone house is gorgeous, with high ceilings, lovely furnishings, and a big garden bordered by a stunning hydrangea hedge. Sergio made a delicious breakfast, sweet or savory, served with care on Sargadelos porcelain. He also had great suggestions for things to do nearby. Highly recommend!

Breakfast with the views was a highlight, and the house is close to some of the best beaches and promenades along the Rías Altas. We spent a few days at Casa Almoina at the end of August. It’s a cozy, rustic place surrounded by woods, and Sergio welcomed us warmly as soon as we arrived. He made sure we had everything we needed. We’d love to return next spring and would definitely recommend it.

The food was delicious: we had lentils, Galician broth, and entrecote, all cooked in a wood-fired oven. The service was pleasant, though pretty average, and the price felt reasonable. The decor was perfect and we loved it. The place has loads of charm and great views, though it’s a little hidden and you have to follow the signs to find it. We’ll come back when we’re on vacation.
