The hosts were wonderful and helpful, and breakfast was probably the best bargain we found in Spain, all local, organic food. The setting is lovely, right beside a great hiking park, with good local restaurants nearby and San Sebastián only 9 km away. We had limited Spanish and the hosts don't speak English, but we still managed to communicate. There’s no AC, though by mid-July it cooled off enough at night for us to be comfortable. You can also cook for yourself and do laundry. The one hassle for us from the US was the required 50 Euro wire-transfer deposit. Our bank charged $50 for the deposit, its minimum fee, and arranging it wasn’t easy.

Casa Peluaga is in a stunning natural setting, and the house itself is lovely and charming. The hosts were so kind and caring, the rooms comfortable, and breakfast was THE BEST of my life. It’s worth the price and delivers on what it promises!
