Extremely chaotic.

The setting is lovely, and the low price is a plus, but there should still be a basic level of hygiene. The house looks completely neglected, almost like something from The Monster Family. The bathroom had cobwebs in every corner, and the shower was horribly caked with limescale. In the bedroom, the mattress had no protector, the blanket was awful, and the chairs had dirty covers. They even left the clean towels on top of those stains. It was disgusting.

The weekend was pleasant enough, and the owner is a very nice, friendly person, but she can intrude on guests' privacy. The garden is really just the street, with dated but usable furniture and a well-established barbecue. The house is supposedly for 18 people, yet I think it only works for 12 at most, even with the extra beds. The kitchen isn't small, but seating more than 10 at the table is uncomfortable. Some kitchenware should be replaced, a few appliances have clearly had their day, and basics like soap and garbage bags were missing. It wasn't dirty, but it wasn't clean either, and more effort could be made. Setting the price aside, there may be better places in the area.

The back patio is great for barbecues, and there's a huge library with books on all kinds of subjects. The wood-burning stove keeps things very warm. Chispi is fantastic and makes the stay much easier, such a lovely person. The rooms are spacious and really nice, each with its own bathroom, and everything is clean now, though I can't speak for how it was years ago. Some people mention cobwebs, but this is a real country house surrounded by nature, not a 5-star city hotel. An ideal rural place, highly recommended!
