Hotel Restaurante el Pi de Sant Just

The mattress was comfortable, and the surroundings were very quiet, but I wouldn’t recommend this place. Our first-floor window was broken and wouldn’t shut, there were no blinds, and the curtains didn’t block out the light. The air conditioner made noise even when switched off. Wi-Fi was available, but the signal was too weak to connect. We ordered takeaway and were charged an extra €3 because we were staying at the hotel. The bathroom was cramped, with a tiny bathtub and no toilet brush.

The room was small, and it was a self-catering hotel. The towels, bedding, and bathroom were spotless, and the clothes smelled lovely. Everything else was fine, though I’m allergic to dust and it seemed like the floor under the bed might not have been swept or mopped for days.

I wasn’t expecting luxury for a little over €50 a night, but quiet and cleanliness should be there at any price. I was on the first floor and could hear everything the people upstairs were doing. The front door slammed so loudly each time that it woke me straight away, even though I’m usually a good sleeper. There were lots of hairs from previous guests in the bathroom, and the room wasn’t very clean. The beds were okay. The TV was laughably small, and although the air conditioning could be heard, it didn’t cool the room by even a degree.

The room was nice and clean, and so was the bathroom. I liked the unusual system where everything is coded, since I’d never stayed in a hotel like that before. I just wish there had been chairs on the balcony so I could sit and relax.
