The only slight issue was a musty smell on the ground floor, but it wasn’t anything unusual for a house. Otherwise, the accommodation was very good: modern, with new decor, furnishings, and appliances. The little patio was really pretty. It’s centrally located, with shops and bars nearby, and parking available close by. I’d recommend it. If it’s hot, Cheles Beach is an option, and Villarreal pier is lovely at sunset. The papercraft museum and the ethnographic museum in the castle are also worth visiting.

The town is really pretty, and the accommodation is new and well equipped. We were only there for one day while passing through, but were very happy with the stay. It’s central and quiet, with bars and shops close by. We’ll definitely return.

The owner was friendly and helpful, and the apartment had everything we needed over Christmas. It was very clean, cozy, and central. Highly recommended.

The apartment is right in the historic center, inside the medieval citadel built by the Templars in the 13th century. The main monuments, restaurants, cafes, shops, and supermarkets are just a few meters away. You can drive into the citadel, but there’s no parking inside; there is parking on the surrounding streets. For access, look for Plaza de Santa Maria 1. The apartment is at Francisco Ortiz Street 8, formerly Rua Entretorres. It’s a mixed street where cars can stop to unload luggage, then you can park nearby. The host was helpful and available for information or anything else we needed. The one stressful thing for me was the waste recycling system, which is different from Catalonia. Olivenza has no street containers, so you have to keep all the packaging, bottles, and cardboard at home. That feels unhygienic, and there are ants and spiders.
