We came as non-residents hoping to use the pool, and left after a blunt, unwelcoming reception. On an earlier visit, we were told that eating at the restaurant and paying €3 each would let us swim. When we arrived on Monday, we were told that wasn’t right. The restaurant was closed, which is fair enough, but they then said swimming would cost €10 per person and that we shouldn’t have been given the earlier information. The receptionist was quite rude about it. The pool was clearly empty. We were honest that we wanted to pay, not get in for free, and we’re people of a certain age looking for a cool dip on a hot day, not wild teenagers. The campsite could bring in extra revenue by offering a fair price for people who want to use the pool. They need to use some common sense if they want to maximize profits, and shouldn’t be rude or make tourists feel like they’re being robbed.

The facilities could use a little TLC, but they were clean, and the hot showers had good pressure and no timer. Our motorhome pitch was large, and many of them have full services. The hilltop setting is peaceful, with panoramic views and friendly staff. We were there midweek and out of season, so couldn’t try the pool or restaurant. It’s a great base for exploring the hilltop town of Olvira. Don’t miss the castle for a stunning panorama.

We camped here and found the facilities excellent, though I can’t comment on the rooms. It’s ideally placed for exploring beautiful Ol veraand getting onto the via verde.

The pitches are spacious and level, so setting up was easy, whether in a van, tent, or camper. Camping Pueblo Blanco is a little gem tucked beside Olveira, with green hills, big skies, and a really calm feel. It’s a quiet spot for reading, unwinding, or just listening to nature. The bar and restaurant are cozy, with friendly service and a lovely terrace view. We’d definitely recommend it to our renters.

We spent four nights at the end of October. The pitches are large, the views are lovely in every direction, and the electric supply was good. Fresh and grey water services were available on the pitch too. The showers felt old and tired, and we couldn’t find any Wi-Fi with our devices. The biggest problem was the noise. Staff played very loud music at random times, for no apparent reason, and it ruined the peace and quiet even at the far end of the site.
