The walks and scenery nearby looked really appealing, and it was a lovely stop on the Camino inverno alternative route. Our room was comfortable and very clean, and both the food and service were excellent.

It was quiet through the night, and the simple facilities felt cosy. The walls are quite thin, though, so we could hear people talking in the next rooms. The place is close to Las Médulas, which is a very beautiful spot to visit.

Lunch on Saturday was good and cost 18€. I had the ham and tomato sauce toast, then the ox tail stew and homemade cheesecake, with wine and bread included. The cafe had a warm wood-burning stove and nice views. The toilets are outside, about 10 meters downhill.

That chestnut and honey beer was delicious. We came for lunch and were met with really friendly service; the food was exquisite, and you can tell the kitchen team care about what they do. The set menu was €22 for a starter, main course, dessert, and a drink. Thank you very much, highly recommended!

The village is lovely and peaceful, and the owners are marvelous. We had a wonderful time both dining at the authentic restaurant and staying overnight. We’ll be back!
