We were perfectly happy spending most of our time at Paraíso Rural, soaking up the views and taking it easy by the pool. The village of Órgiva is just a short uphill walk, with restaurants and shops, and the place would work well as a base for exploring farther afield too. We stayed in Alcazaba for four nights with Les and Audrey. It was spotless, really comfortable, and tastefully decorated, with everything we needed plus a few extras, including reliable free WIFI. The setting is quiet and secluded, with gorgeous views in every direction. We spent plenty of time swimming and lounging by the big pool, and all of us got to enjoy a siesta on the Moroccan Day Bed. We’ll definitely come back. Thanks, Les and Audrey, for a wonderful five days.

We’ve already booked to come back next year. The garden and pool were lovely places to unwind, and we enjoyed the easy walks into Orgivia to try the local restaurants. Les and Audrey gave us such a warm welcome when we stayed in May 2019, and they were incredibly helpful throughout. The accommodation was first class. Waking up to birdsong and the magnificent Sierra Nevada mountains made the stay feel especially memorable. It really does live up to its name as a rural paradise. Thanks to you both for making our holiday so special.

We’ve booked another stay for next year already, and can’t wait to see Audrey and Les again. They were perfect hosts. The games room and roomy pool gave us plenty to do, or a place to relax while looking out at the scenery. The house was very clean and had everything we could need, and more. The welcome pack was a lovely surprise. Paraíso Rural is only a short walk from the centre of Orgiva, a handy spot for exploring this typically Spanish region. The beaches are a short drive away, and Granada is close by and well worth visiting. The name fits, it really feels like a rural paradise.

We had some delicious home-cooked food, including a really fresh, tasty paella. Even my teenage son finished every bit. The hosts are a lovely, friendly couple, and there’s a good games room on site. The accommodation is top notch, with beautiful gardens, peaceful surroundings, and stunning mountain views.

We’re going back in April and really looking forward to it. On our last visit in December the weather was sunny enough for us to have lunch outside. The owners are exceptional hosts, and Paraíso Rural is one of the most beautiful places I’ve stayed. You can have a quiet break around the pool and property, or head out sightseeing, walk in the white villages or Sierra Nevada, and visit the beach, just over a 30-minute drive away. It also works well for a family holiday together. There are four self-contained units, so grandparents, adult children, and grandchildren can sleep and have breakfast separately.
