Neither good nor bad, just expensive.

The worst hotel ever.

The soundproofing is awful. People make enough noise that you can’t sleep until midnight or 1 a.m. Getting in is complicated, with keys and codes, and you always need a device with internet access. Everything seems old and neglected, from the furniture and doors to the appliances and paint. Avoid at all costs!

The apartment was shabby and filthy. We had to wash the sofa cover and the backrest covers, and the shower curtain was disgusting. The furniture looked like it had been picked up off the street, which is ridiculous for a place charging €580 for four nights in June. It felt like a total rip-off, and I don’t recommend it. Orclaus managed our apartment and treated us well, but that doesn’t change how run-down the place itself was.

The location and views were good, and, apart from the issues below, it was clean. Still, cleanliness should be expected, and those positives don’t make up for all the problems. For the same price or less, you could find hotels or apartments with better facilities and more comfortable beds. The rooms and shared areas were tiny. In the bathroom, you had to turn sideways to get through the door, which couldn’t open all the way, and the shower screen had the same problem. Storage was nearly useless: the wardrobes were shallow and cramped, with only three hangers, and even those had to hang crookedly. There was nowhere for things like phones, personal items, towels, backpacks, or suitcases. Only one of the five beds had a nightstand. In one bedroom, fixed curtains brushed your face when you lay down and couldn’t be moved aside. The mattresses were lumpy and misshapen, and the beds creaked with the slightest movement. All the electrical outlets were loose, crooked, broken, and some were rusty. The air conditioner was locked so you couldn’t adjust the temperature. The TV had just one channel, OropesaTV. Sheets cost extra, despite looking like hospital linens. At night, one bedroom was above the nightclub entrance and exit, so people talking and shouting could be heard, even on upper floors. The balcony railings were too low and seemed dangerous for children. The rooms were cramped, with uncomfortable beds and hardly any storage or bedside space.
