We came to Soto de Sajambre by chance after our Airbnb booking elsewhere fell through, and were lucky to find hostel Santa Peña. The rooms were clean and nice, and the shower had excellent water pressure. We really enjoyed the kitchen's delicious, reasonably priced food. The location is great too, less than a 90-minute drive from the Ruta del Cares trailhead at Cain. The Ruta was closed during our visit, so instead we took the Archdeacon’s trail to Amieva, which starts in the village. We loved our host and would highly recommend staying here when visiting Picos de Europa.
