Briana on staff was so kind and helpful, thank you! There’s plenty of free milk, cereal, cookies, and coffee for guests. The Albergue is great for pelgrinos on Via de la plata, with lots of beds, clean rooms, and warm blankets. The kitchen has plenty of bowls and plates, plus Micro waves. There are two big shower rooms, one for women and one for men, and coin coffee and drink machines.

There’s no staff running this hostel. Apart from when you arrive, there’s no reception unless you don’t have the app needed to open the door. I found it filthy, with overflowing garbage cans, a public health menace. The sheets and the hostel generally don’t seem to be cleaned professionally. I saw sheets hung to dry on the bunk beds. The showers have no curtains, and the rooms have no lights except the ones by the beds. Breakfast is bare bones, with no fruit, cheese, or real bread. For what you pay, it’s poor value. The owner’s greed is palpable. I would never stay here again.
