Apartamentos Turísticos Cidade Vella

We only stayed one night, and earplugs made the evening noise manageable. Our apartment faced a busy bar street, so it could get loud. There is another apartment at the back that might be quieter. The place itself is central, modern-looking and luxurious for a low price, with a good bed, kitchen, fridge, bathroom and couch. You have to download an app to get in, and there is no reception, but the staff were very helpful on WhatsApp.

I can't give it zero, but this was dreadful. The neighborhood is awful, and the apartment door is covered in graffiti. I canceled as quickly as I could, but now the establishment says it will keep the full booking amount. That's how they make money, apparently. The view is in the photo I attached, a real marvel when Ourense is such a beautiful place. I'll never book with this hotel chain again.

There are pubs downstairs playing music into the early hours, so we had a terrible night. The booking also promised a cathedral view, a kitchen, a coffee maker and other amenities, but we arrived to find none of them. We'd brought food and had to throw it out because there was no way to cook it. We complained to Booking.com, but they ignored us, and the property offered no fix. We were left to make do with what they gave us. A disaster, and a very poor area if you want to sleep well. Don't rent it.

Parking is hard since the studio is in a pedestrian zone, and there was rubbish in the bin when I arrived, apparently left by the previous guests. The towels weren't changed during my four nights, either. At night the noise was really loud and irritating. The entrance street, right in front of the building and my studio, was dirty and half ruined. Only one of the five studios has a Cathedral view. The studio may be modern and in the tourist area, but it isn't as appealing as it looks, and I strongly recommend avoiding it.
