Hotel Zarampallo

A great option for a short visit if you want to explore the city centre. It's in the very old town's pedestrian area, and the hotel accepts pets. The room was cozy, warm, functional and very clean, though the bathroom was tiny.

Right near great restaurants, and in the middle of everything. It's a sweet little no-frills hotel, just right if you need somewhere to leave your luggage and sleep at night. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Sandra always had ideas for places and things I could check out.

The receptionist at the front was very nice, and the hotel is clean, charming and gets good natural light. It's right among everything we wanted to see in Ourense. But don't expect to sleep: the cots and pillows were so stiff they'd numb you. The alley was very loud, with bars closing at 12am, street cleaning around 1-2 am, then inconsiderate drunk people passing by until 4am. A taxi from the bus station, which is a bit of a distance away, cost 6€.

There are lots of bars and shops nearby, and the tourism office is behind the hotel. It's right in the centre, in a pedestrian area, so I had to leave the car in a nearby car park. It was 30 euros for 3 nights at the special rate for mentioning the hotel. The room was a bit small, but clean, and for 55 euro I didn't expect more. It was noisy at night, so I had to close the window to sleep. After that, it was fine.
