The double room was on the small side, though the en suite was roomy. The café, bar and restaurant were friendly and convenient, and reception was helpful. It’s a lovely family-run hotel just across the road from the station. We slept well in the quiet, with comfortable beds. Couldn’t fault it.

The bathroom seemed to have been renovated, which was the only nice thing. The mattress was the worst I’ve slept on, and my back hurt after every night. It was noisy too. I wouldn’t choose it a second time. Maybe it needs some renovation.

I was very happy with it. Great value, clean rooms, and less than a 10 minute walk from anything you need. The style is very retro. Staff can’t speak English.

My room was on the top floor, a fairly large family room with three beds, and it was relatively clean. It was mostly quiet up there, though the lift was right beside the room, and its mechanical noise was loud now and then. The location is good, very close to both the train and bus stations, with the historic centre not too far away. The woman at reception spoke very limited English.
