The location was good, and the staff were excellent, which helped make the stay better. The room itself was nice, but the bathroom felt old. The sink was a gross red wine color, and the water wouldn’t drain. The facilities felt more like a three-star hotel than a four-star one.

We had a quick check-in, and the staff explained how to reach the old town and nearby places of interest. The room was clean, tidy, well equipped, and roomy enough for three of us and all our motorcycle gear. It also had a mini fridge. We were only here one night before heading to Santander and the ferry home. We ate in the old town, so I can’t say whether the hotel has a restaurant, but breakfast the next morning was plentiful and filling. I’d recommend it and would come back if we pass this way next year.

The hotel was very clean and high quality, and the staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was all fresh, though there wasn’t much hot food to choose from.

The hotel is outside town. Using the front entrance added five minutes to the trip, though in the recent weather it would have meant much less time out in the rain. We had a code for the back entrance, which made getting to the town center easier, but they changed it midway through our stay without telling us. We ended up stuck in pouring rain, unable to get in, and the buzzer went unanswered for about 10-15 minutes. When we raised it, staff were indifferent both then and the next morning at checkout, and offered no explanation. I’m left wondering whether reception wasn’t doing its job or the buzzer, which had worked fine the previous days, had stopped working. The hotel sent an automated email asking us to check in online before arrival, which I did, and I received that email three nights in a row. Yet during our three-night stay, they couldn’t send one simple message that the back entrance code had changed. Absolutely shambolic.
