The beach was lovely and close by, and the location made it easy to get to shops, restaurants and supermarkets. We spent a week there in February. The staff were kind and helpful, and the pool was pleasantly warm. The room was clean but basic, with a tiny balcony looking onto a wall. Food was just average, with few choices and even fewer for vegetarians. I’ve also stayed at R2 Pajara Beach and preferred it. Still, it wasn’t bad and we enjoyed the holiday.

The heated pool was well looked after, and our room was clean and nicely equipped. Staff were consistently friendly and helpful. We found the food the best of any all-inclusive stay we’ve had in the Canary Islands. The hotel is close to the beach and Jandia’s main shopping street, and it’s a peaceful base for couples or families. I’d strongly recommend it if you’re staying in the south of Fuerteventura.

There were plenty of shops nearby, and the local beach was an easy walk away. Buganvilla was well cared for, especially around the pool. We liked the food, though there wasn’t a huge selection for picky eaters. We loved our stay and would definitely come back.

The shops and beach are both very close. It’s a great hotel, with efficient staff who are polite and cheerful.

There’s a beach, shops, restaurants and a pharmacy nearby, though the pharmacy is often shut. The room looked modern, but that did little to help with the heat: during our stay in a heatwave above 40°, the air conditioning never worked. We asked for a fan because a family member with a heart condition couldn’t regulate their temperature, but the hotel did nothing. First they sent a Spanish-speaking technician who couldn’t understand us and said the unit was “fine.” We were told it had been fixed, then later told it was actually broken and they were waiting for a technician from Gran Canaria. Our family member suffered heatstroke and needed several trips to the pharmacy for medication. The service made everything more stressful. Reception staff were abrupt and unfriendly, with little patience for English-speaking guests. When we asked about paying for late checkout, since our transfer wasn’t until 5:25pm and my relative needed a toilet and somewhere comfortable to stay, the man at reception laughed at us and said the hotel was fully booked. At checkout, a woman gave us a dirty look, took our room cards without asking how things had gone, and walked off without a goodbye or thank you. We also needed two 50-cent coins changed into a euro for the luggage scale. Another staff member shrugged and said, “I don’t know,” and didn’t know how the machine worked either. The pool was tiny and packed, with children throwing balls around. There was only one pool and nowhere near enough sunbeds, which guests claimed at dawn. The entertainment room was stuffy, had no air conditioning and never enough seats. The snack bar was little more than a small fridge with sad ham and cheese toasties and a tray of mushy cakes. Main buffet meals were bland and repetitive, with the food and entertainment heavily geared toward German guests. Posters were in German and most residents were German. Some were shockingly rude: in the restaurant, a woman ran over shouting in German that we had taken “her” table, though it had no sign or belongings on it. We left embarrassed. There was no cleaning service on Sundays, so we ran out of toilet paper and had dirty towels. Ants were all over the desk and dresser. There’s little to do nearby, and almost every excursion is hours away in the north or middle of the island. For a supposed four-star hotel, this was miserable, uncomfortable and stressful. I’ve slept better on the Megabus to Inverness. By day three, we were dreaming of the comfort and glamour of a Travelodge by the A1. Avoid at all costs. 👎🏼
