Calm Beach Apartments

The heated pool was a hit with our children, and we loved how close everything was: two SPAR shops, cafés, restaurants, and the beach are all an easy walk away. In February we could also find plenty of free street parking. The property team were pleasant to deal with and answered our WhatsApp messages quickly. Our apartment in Costa Calma, Fuerteventura had two bedrooms and a living-room sofa bed, which suited our family well. It was modern, clean, and well maintained, with a well-equipped kitchen including an oven, large fridge, stovetop, and toaster. The only kitchen snag was that the non-stick pans were scratched and came with metal utensils, so we bought a spatula for the smaller pan that was in better shape. The sea view over the Atlantic was spectacular. There was also a rooftop terrace with two loungers, reached by a spiral staircase, but the strong February winds often made it too chilly to enjoy for long. The mattresses felt a little too firm for us, though that’s personal preference. We had a great stay and would consider coming back.

That sunrise from the balcony was our favourite thing. The balcony caught plenty of sun, a real bonus in winter when the Fuerteventura breeze can feel cold. The apartments were well equipped and felt like home, and it was quiet at night with a nice pool area. The beach is two minutes away, and a well-stocked Spar is right next door. There are plenty of good bars and restaurants nearby. There’s no in-person check-in, but help and anything you need are available through WhatsApp. We had a great week.

The view was good, but the floor wasn’t clean when we arrived, and there were only two towel sets for four of us. The door lock was broken too, and it took four days for someone to fix it. When we asked for more towels and a bed sheet, we were first told there weren’t any extras, then told the cleaning staff had been informed. Nobody came, so we ended up buying towels ourselves. I felt constantly gaslighted while dealing with the owners, and I’ve never found it so difficult to get extra towels. The kitchen was okay, though cooking a proper meal there was hard.

Really lovely place, and the apartment view is amazing 🤩. Everything felt new, nice, and top quality. The location worked so well for us, with a Spar, coffee, restaurants, and shops just seconds away. We’ll definitely come back.
