The pools were cleaned every night, and the pool area was tidied early each morning. The buffet was standard and kept us going. This has been a fantastic break, and the hotel was so peaceful in February and autism friendly. It’s ideal if you like walking, running and exploring. It was between 24 and 28 degrees the whole time I was here, and I’ve already booked for next year. A few practical things: there are two coffee machines available day and night, but rooms have no kettle or cups. You can rent a kettle at reception for 2 euros a day or bring a travel one. There's a small fridge in the cupboard, and the room safe costs 2 euros a day to hire. I’d avoid the local shop if possible. I paid over 13 euros for a four-pack of Heineken and a pack of Pringles, and they were also selling milk past its date. The hotel is an hour by bus from the airport. I’d recommend renting a car; there's one main road from the airport that takes you almost to the front door. For an adventure, hire a jeep or off-roader to explore the desert. I rented a small car and explored on foot. There’s a Spar shop about 3 miles away. The other side of the island is less than a 2-mile walk across the desert, with wild beaches, huge waves and a completely different feel from the hotel side. Walk along the seafront and keep going, and you'll find lots of different beaches, nearly all with beautiful white sand.
