The hotel’s mobile app is a good idea, and I appreciate the effort to modernise the guest experience. It would be more useful if guests could send feedback, add photos, and report unresolved issues there, so management could spot problems and guests could feel their concerns were taken seriously. Our all-inclusive holiday with my wife and our 4-year-old son had some good points, but the stay didn’t meet the standard we expect from a 5-star property. The hotel is generally clean, the grounds are well maintained, and we liked the food. However, the rooms felt closer to four-star, with budget-quality finishes, visible wear, and poor maintenance repairs. Restaurant service was probably the biggest letdown. We sometimes sat waiting for cutlery while staff walked past without acknowledging us. Finding a suitable table for three could be difficult, and we had to move tables ourselves. I also saw staff turn their backs on guests trying to ask questions, especially near the dessert station. Language barriers can happen, but turning away from someone is not acceptable. The fish grill team were always friendly and professional and deserve recognition. Shortly before lunch ended one day, a supervisor looked visibly frustrated that guests were still there. A few minutes later, the lights went off while people were still finishing drinks. Staff should have politely said service was ending and checked if anyone needed anything first. Housekeeping was inconsistent. Despite asking several times, the floors were often still dirty, and we regularly found long dark hairs in the room. It gave the impression that cleaning wasn’t being monitored properly. Communication between departments also seemed poor, as simple requests had to be repeated several times. The hotel advertises several restaurants, but availability was extremely limited during our stay, so we couldn’t easily use the facilities being promoted. Around the pool, guests often held sunbeds with towels for long periods, leaving fewer available. Anyone arriving after the towel desk closed couldn’t get pool towels until the next day. The café staff worked extremely hard, though they often looked overwhelmed. The blonde gentleman and young lady consistently gave excellent service. Evening entertainment varied by day. The staff member responsible was always approachable, engaged with guests, and actively asked for feedback. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, and some hardworking staff genuinely care, but inconsistent service, weak communication, housekeeping problems, and poor attention to detail let it down. More visible management, clearer service standards, and better staff training would help deliver the advertised 5-star experience.
