Despite the storm and heavy rain, I had a wonderful stay at Hotel Restaurant El Far de San Sebastián. Susanna took my booking by phone, arranging both the room and dinner right away, and was incredibly friendly and efficient. At check-in, Olga welcomed me warmly, showed me around, and was knowledgeable and professional. She was one of the friendliest front desk staff I’ve met. The room was beautiful, relaxing, spotless, and had very comfortable bedclothes. Even during the big storm, the well-insulated windows kept out every sound, and I slept like an angel. Dinner was delicious, thanks to Chef Quim, and Leydi looked after me with a warm smile and attentive service. Olga also kindly took some pictures of me in the building. Breakfast the next morning was lovely, and Gerard served it with great care and friendliness. Then the severe weather closed the street, making it unsafe to leave. The team handled everything so well: I could stay in my room longer and the front desk kept us updated. Judith did a great job keeping everyone informed and calm. Gerard became our superhero that day. After midday, he carefully drove down to check conditions, returned to tell us it was safe, and led all the guests in a convoy down to Palafrugell. I also want to thank the housekeeping ladies, whose names I don’t know, for their patience and kindness in letting us stay longer in our rooms. Thank you again to Susanna, Olga, Lady Leydi, Judith, Gerard, Chef Quim, and the whole housekeeping team. An outstanding experience. I highly recommend staying here to relax and enjoy this beautiful place.

The staff were genuinely friendly and amazing, and the hotel was beautiful, clean, and had a great atmosphere. I accidentally booked the wrong date and only noticed after I’d actually stayed. When I asked at checkout if they could do anything, they refunded the night I’d booked by mistake. That says a lot about the place. I’d absolutely recommend it and come back.

Olga gave us a warm welcome and plenty of ideas for places to visit nearby. We had a lovely short stay in a cozy room with an amazing sea view, and breakfast offered a great choice of food. It was all fabulous!

The food was tasty and very good, and the restaurant is beautiful in a stunning location. The boss was friendly and made us feel at home. Service from some of the other team members could be better: they hadn’t changed our cutlery between starters and mains, and we had to ask. I’d definitely come back. Expect to pay around 50-60€ per person.

Sara managed and coordinated everything so smoothly, including the small changes and spontaneous requests we made before and during the wedding. Every detail was handled with care. Maria and the whole team gave outstanding service, and we and our guests loved both the delicious food and the warm, attentive care throughout the day. Judith first convinced us to choose El Far back in 2023, then looked after us so well during our stay. We celebrated our wedding at Hotel El Far, and it was incredible. The venue, planning, staff, service, and food were all just perfect. Thanks to the whole team for making it the wedding we could only have dreamed of. We’d recommend this place 100%!
