The location is great, and the place itself is okay, but the noise made me decide I wouldn’t stay again. The walls are paper thin, and the beds sit right against the corridor wall, so light sleepers probably won’t get much rest. You can also hear everything from upstairs, and from reception if your room is nearby. Aside from all that, I couldn’t fault the place.

It’s easy to get to the shops and restaurants in Calella de Palafrugell from Hotel Sant Roc, and the hotel has its own beach. The place is beautiful, with comfortable, well appointed rooms and an elegant 60s feel. Service was top notch. They were very patient with me, a bohemian hiker from the U.S.

All eight of us enjoyed the meal at the restaurant one evening, and agreed it was delicious. The owners have been here 70 years, and it’s clear that their hard work has paid off. It’s a great independent business and worth supporting. I felt sure we’d booked the right Hotel as soon as we arrived at reception, where the staff were kind and smiling.

The brunch was lovely, and the room was comfortable. Staff and service were excellent, with a gently worn 1960s ambiance. There are so many stairs, though.

The breakfast was amazing, with the best view, and the terrace is a nice spot for an afternoon drink. This newly refurbished hotel in calella is beautiful, and the staff are kind. I’d absolutely recommend it.
