El Rincon de Palmacio

The owners were lovely, and the families we met were friendly too. The whole place felt warm and welcoming. Our room was roomy and had its own bathroom, and the shared lounge was really cozy. We also enjoyed the delicious homemade food and the spa. The village is small but very pretty, with great views. Bad weather kept us from hiking, though there are plenty of routes to choose from. We'd love to come back.

Lunch, dinner, and breakfast were all delicious and homemade. Lorenzo and Rosa were attentive the whole time and made us feel at home. We stayed for two days and one night, and loved how peaceful it was, with fresh air, quiet, and lovely views of the reservoir. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. We'll return with the whole family.

The place looks nice, and his wife was more fun and let us get on with things. But a warning about the Smartbox package: ours was meant to include everything and a breakfast buffet, but that wasn't what we got. Breakfast was poor, just a slice of ham and cheese each, coffee, juice, a packaged croissant, and an apple. They charged us for drinks and desserts without asking. The bill was 36 euros for two bottles of water, two refilled bottles of wine, and four desserts, a yogurt, a slice of nougat ice cream, and two custards. I'd go independently and avoid the Smartbox. The owner kept talking while we ate and wouldn't let us get a word in.

The spa was private and very well equipped, with great music. The facilities had everything we needed for a relaxing stay, and the food was exquisite, homemade, and generous, my partner and I both thought so. Lorenzo and Rosa made us feel right at home. We spent one night in this beautiful place with its special charm. We'll definitely return and highly recommend it!
