The other guests were the best part of the trip. They had similar complaints, and by the end it was almost laughable how often we heard the same things. I booked this as a birthday surprise for my partner after seeing what looked like great reviews, and I was honestly embarrassed by how it turned out. I wouldn't stay again. The positive reviews felt misleading, and I don't know how the hotel is still getting 5 stars. The food was often cold and there wasn't much choice. Our room looked old-fashioned, and while it gave us somewhere to sleep, the double we'd booked was two single beds pushed together. They kept separating during the night, which wasn't good for a couple or an older guest. Most staff didn't interact with us. A few times we said hello and were ignored, which felt uncomfortable, whether it was a language barrier or poor service. Gonazalo, a man at the bar, was particularly rude. I'd be wary about ordering drinks in the evening because of his attitude.

We enjoyed the area and the weather, and there are some nice places to eat nearby. We also went out for food a few times despite being all-inclusive. The meat was mostly cheap cuts, like chicken thighs and drumsticks, with the odd piece of what I think was chicken breast. There were chips over and over, an occasional boiled potato, and mash once a week that looked a funny colour. The salad was alright. Drinks were included, but very poor, and the fizzy drinks weren't fizzy. My husband and I have just got back, and this is far from the best hotel I've stayed in. The room had little furniture apart from the bed and was reasonably clean, but there were quite a lot of ants, with a few getting into the bed. We reported it, but nothing happened until we mentioned it again. Then they gave us a spray to deal with it ourselves. That fixed things for a couple of days, then the ants gradually came back. Most of the staff were ignorant and abrupt, with no manners. Everyone has their own opinion, but that's how I found it. We won't be returning.

I've stayed here twice this year. The room was clean and comfortable, and the full board was fine, with a good range of tasty food. The staff work hard to make guests comfortable, and I especially appreciated how kind and helpful they were. If I come to Mallorca next year, I'll book here again. 🙂 Andi from Hungary

Palmanova is a peaceful place, with some lovely and interesting trips to take. The hotel is nice and reasonably priced, and the rooms are always clean and well renovated. Staff are courteous and helpful. There's entertainment every day, with Andrea as a friendly, helpful host who knows how to handle holidaymakers. The pool is a little small, but never crowded, and the outdoor ping pong and billiards tables are in good condition.
