Hotel El Tilo

The setting is lovely, with the Deva river, mountains, and a flower filled, well kept garden. Inside, everything was clean, and the staff were nice. Meals were good and generous, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable. The place does feel a little old fashioned, with keys, bathtubs in the rooms, and lights operated by push buttons.

The warm, sincere welcome is what made this feel like a special stay. The owner is naturally good at hospitality and always finds a chance to make guests feel cared for. It’s Spanish hospitality at its best, and an experience I’ll remember for a long time. The hotel is old fashioned, but in excellent condition and very well organized. There’s a restaurant area, plus a separate room for a huge free breakfast. The pain au chocolat was fabulous, and the melon, fruit, sandwiches, pastries, and everything else were great. Our room was very clean. Dinner was a real treat too, with typical local food, including fish and beans, and excellent local cider. The food was very good and not expensive, but watch out, the servings are huge. A great place.

The Arroz Con Leche is DEVINE, and the rest of the food is tasty with a very good range of choices. This family run hotel is caring and friendly, in a beautiful spot beside the Deva river. A wooded meadow Nature Path is just behind it. It’s very clean and has a lovely garden. Thank you, Pedro and family!

The four person rooms are on the small side, but the location and views are great. Staff were very helpful, and breakfast was plentiful.
