Hostería del Arco

When we visited, this little family-run hotel had a 2-star rating, although Google listed it as 1 star. The service was great, and the rooms were very comfortable.

Supper.

Laura and the young man who welcomed us were fabulous, very friendly, and breakfast at La Despensa, another bar they run, was very good. But the room was tiny. I’d asked for a balcony and was told the only available room was a little smaller than the others. Not knowing the room sizes, I agreed to book it. When we saw it, we were shocked by how small it was. I asked twice if we could switch, but was told there was no way because everything was full. Such bad luck. With a bigger room, our weekend would have been much more wonderful. 😿

The service is what makes Pedraza special. Everyone was incredibly kind, and they provided everything we needed. We had a pleasant room with a terrace, and the location, cleanliness, and price were all good. There’s also a bar next door with a lovely terrace. I’ve rarely been treated so well, and I absolutely recommend the place. I don’t understand the complaints about reception. It isn’t a hotel, so if you want a 24-hour desk and a spa, you have to travel farther. People complain about breakfast even though elsewhere you often pay extra or have to find a café, and I’m speechless about the parking complaints. The town is pedestrian for everyone. Some people even ask for an elevator, but where there isn’t one, there just isn’t one.
