Emma deserves a special mention. She looked after us so well, suggested routes and things to do, and was still kind to us after we'd left when there had been a minor accident at home. Such a delight. The cozy rural house is right by the road through Pedro Bernardo, with parking nearby and the village supermarket close by. The supermarket has a butcher selling excellent local meat. Almost opposite is the bakery, where they make spectacular muffins, a real treat. People in the village come down for a bag almost every day, and they also deliver them to bars, supermarkets, and restaurants. La Gatera, a magnificent restaurant, is just a couple of minutes' walk away and worth a visit. The layout is like a duplex, with a small bathroom on each floor and a shower upstairs. It has all the amenities: hot water from a water heater, Wi-Fi, two good-sized Smart TVs, one per floor, a fully equipped kitchen, mirrors, and an upstairs sofa bed if you're traveling with children.
