Emma made sure we had ideas for things to do nearby and checked in on us throughout. We also loved Pedrobernardo, especially the lovely old houses and, more than anything, the people. Our treehouse was wonderfully snug, thoughtfully decorated, and had everything we needed. The views across the whole Tietar Valley were spectacular. Such a fantastic weekend.

Pedro Bernardo has a lovely atmosphere, with friendly people and plenty of bars and restaurants. We had a great time in the treehouse, which felt relaxing and had everything we needed to feel at home. The attic gave us a unique view over the valley. Emma, the owner, was always available, very helpful, and suggested activities that suited us perfectly. We'd love to come back.

The host was really friendly, and the renovation and decor are tasteful. Still, we didn't feel the price matched what we got. For four adults and two children under three, the house felt cramped and uncomfortable. There are two bedrooms on the first floor but no bathroom there, and one bedroom has no heating. The upstairs bathroom smelled of sewage, too. There also isn't a suitable place to keep bicycles.

We'd asked beforehand about bringing bicycles and were told yes. After the stay, though, apparently they were "problematic." We washed them thoroughly with soap and water before bringing them inside. We had also mentioned traveling with babies, but nobody suggested then that we might be better off in a house without stairs. The upstairs bathroom smelled bad from the moment we arrived, not because of us or our babies. Honestly, blaming us felt a bit rude. To explain, I'm not Mikel. This is my own review and personal assessment. The listing photos are real, but the house seemed smaller in person, which was disappointing. It's spread over three floors: downstairs there's a small kitchen, dining and living area plus a bathroom; the second floor has two small bedrooms, one without a heat pump; and the top floor has a loft bedroom and a tiny bathroom. The heat pump barely warmed the house in April, and the fireplace either didn't work or we couldn't get it going. We thought better value could be found nearby. We'll take your advice and look elsewhere when traveling with babies and/or bikes. Thank you very much.

Wi-Fi was very fast, and everything was spotless. We spent a few days at the Tree House, with spacious rooms and a beautiful interior. The fireplace felt like a real luxury. Emma was attentive the whole time and gave us recommendations for places to see.
