A relaxed atmosphere, spectacular service, and delicious food. Highly recommend.

The river and wildlife make for a peaceful stay, and the rooms are clean, cozy, and quiet. The staff were attentive, warm, and helpful, and the food was out of this world. If you’re into a really good ribeye, T-bone, or porterhouse, this is the place. It’s also perfectly placed for reaching destinations across the Picos de Europa. As a motorcyclist myself, I’d put it among the top three places in the world for riders, for sure. I rate it five out of five for the location, accommodation, service, friendly welcome, and food.

I couldn’t sleep in room 7. It smelled musty, there was black mold on the ceiling, and the place badly needs updating. The bed was small and uncomfortable, and the decor was ancient. When I opened the window for air, smoke from the kitchen came into the room. The restaurant guests and staff were very noisy in the evening, with loud talking until about 1:30 a.m. The walls are paper thin, and from 6 a.m. staff were walking and talking loudly in the hallway outside. The plumbing made a lot of noise inside the walls too. With all the shouting, banging, and other noise, my poor dog was anxious. I asked to move rooms for the second night or get that night refunded so I could leave. The employee I spoke with was friendly and considerate, but after talking to the boss, there was no solution or even any sympathy. I slept in my van the second night and rested much better, but still had to pay the full room price 🙄. Customer service shows in how an owner handles complaints, and here it was absolutely useless. I feel robbed. I was charged far too much for a terrible room, and nothing was done when I asked for help.

The staff were welcoming and friendly, and it’s a nice spot for walks. Motorbikes seem popular here, and the menu is very meat-heavy. My room was basic and dated, but it did the job. There’s also a good restaurant up the road toward las arenas.

The basic accommodation was good value, comfortable, and quiet. The restaurant happened to be closed during my stay, but there were plenty of other places to eat a short drive away.
