After a 24 km hike in Picos de Europa, this was just the right place to rest. I like a firm mattress, and this one was comfy. The shower was hot, and in the morning I could hear birds at the window, with the river softly murmuring nearby. It’s a fantastic location, about a 20 minute drive from Ruta de Cares. The coffee, though, was awful 😂. I first asked for an americano and got something super watery. Then I tried an espresso. Same color and taste, no foam or body, just the same light brown liquid in a tiny espresso cup 😭😭😭

I usually have trouble sleeping, but here I slept deeply and quietly to the sound of the river, the best sleep I’ve had. Marisol is so friendly, and I loved the food. It was high quality and well priced. I’d come back just to stay here again.
