The room was super clean and the bed comfortable, with tea and coffee making facilities. There’s free public parking almost opposite, and the location is handy for the hot springs and countless trekking routes. The food was the best we had on our whole tour of Northern Spain, and the staff were fabulous and friendly, going out of their way to make our stay comfortable. During an unbearable heat wave they even gave us their own floor fan. You might hear the occasional heavy lorry go past, so bring ear plugs and you’ll have The Best stay. We won’t be coming back. The staff were extremely unfriendly, as if they didn’t want anyone there. A smile now and then wouldn’t hurt. Order a glass of wine and you get the smallest pour possible, along with warm beer.

The mixed salad was the one decent part of the meal. The rest of the food wasn’t good, and when I pointed out how fatty the fries were, the waitress said that was how they were meant to be. She was unfriendly and forgot half our order. Never again.

The waitress was very unfriendly, so I wouldn’t come back because of the service. The salad was good, but the patatas, or French fries, were horrible.
