Casa El Grial

We loved it. Staying in this house beside the castle in the old town of Peñiscola felt like being on a boat, thanks to its nautical design. The streets and little details all around were idyllic, and it was a real privilege to have that memory. Just be ready for plenty of stairs in both the house and town, so you need to be in decent shape, though the exercise is good for you. The owners were attentive and approachable. If you can appreciate the effort that went into making the house cozy and go in with a positive attitude, give it a try. If you focus on the downsides, you'll find some discomforts. It was great for us.

A comfortable bed and a clean, well-organized house make this a good fit for a small group, up to 3 people. The space is used really well. I'm 1.77 meters tall and bumped my head on the stairs a few times, haha, so anyone taller should watch out. It's not suitable for people with reduced mobility. The owner was very attentive.

Iron, the owner, was incredibly friendly, and the location right beside the castle is hard to beat. The house was spotless and fun, with lovely decor and a kitchen that had everything we needed. Just be aware it's spread over three floors with very narrow stairs, so it's not a good choice for anyone with mobility issues or who is very tall. Parking is public and a bit of a walk away.

Friendly hosts, and a fantastic spot beside the castle, small shops and plenty of bars. The house is lovely and very clean, with kitchen and bathroom amenities.
