We've rented holiday apartments around Spain for 15 years, but Orange Costa, the company managing this one, made the stay frustrating and undermined the apartment's good points. The key office was several kilometers away, so we had to go there to collect the keys and return there again at the end. Other places let you leave keys inside or in a nearby mailbox. Here, the written terms threatened that the €200 deposit would be withheld if the keys weren't returned. Losing them could cost up to €300, depending on the locksmith, payable immediately. That seems odd when the office already has a spare set. There were no towels in the apartment. They offered to rent two small ones for five euros, but this wasn't mentioned when I booked. I only discovered the problem after getting out of the shower. I called and was told to go back to the office and pay five euros per set. After several calls, they finally brought towels the next day. The dishes were dirty when we arrived, so we had to wash them ourselves. Yet the checkout document says guests must leave the apartment clean and tidy and remove all rubbish, or risk extra cleaning charges. That makes me responsible for washing the previous guest's dishes too, which is not my job. I'd much rather arrange things directly with the apartment owner than through an intermediary.
