We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely historic place. It has air conditioning, a swimming pool, and all the amenities you could think of. Breakfast is included, nicely laid out, with good coffee and plenty of choices. It's close to the French border and the Bay of Roses, handy for a day at the beach.

A lovely, quiet countryside setting, with friendly and helpful owners and staff. Breakfast passed the croissant test. The evening meal sounded like good value, but it was too late for us since we eat early.

We came from Barcelona hoping for a long weekend away from the city, and absolutely loved the peaceful rural setting at Can Bastons, surrounded by nature and animals. It’s a beautiful old house with a gorgeous pool, and Jaume was welcoming from the moment we arrived and ready to help with anything we needed. We enjoyed the breakfast each morning so much that we came back the following weekend for another two days. Highly recommend it for a quiet getaway!

The food is delicious, the staff are friendly, and there’s a pool beside a big garden where you can unwind after the beach. This feels like a private paradise, with lovely spots nearby such as Roses, Empuries, and Sant Pere Pescador. The beaches at Cap de Creus are about 30 minutes away. A must if you’re staying in l'Alt Ampordà.
