Haza De La Virgen

Everything was just right when we celebrated my mother's birthday at Antonio's house last weekend: the place, the views, the atmosphere, and the warm hospitality. This was our second stay of a few days at Haza de la Virgen, and we plan to come back many more times.

The views are beautiful, but the location is quite remote and the road isn't great. That's why I'm only giving the location one star. The house itself is great.

The views over the Viñuela reservoir are breathtaking and the house is spectacular. Getting there, though, the access road is a bit of a joke.

We had an incredible weekend in this rural house, and I came away with a wonderful impression. The views from the accommodation are simply spectacular, especially across the reservoir and the local villages. The whole way to the house is paved, so getting there is comfortable in any car. It was nothing like the dirt tracks at many other rural houses I've visited. There's also parking beside the house for about eight cars. The house itself is a real treasure: spacious, comfortable and cosy, with all the comforts you'd want for a getaway. The bedrooms were spotless and well equipped, and the kitchen had everything needed to prepare meals. The living rooms were great for relaxing and getting everyone together. It's a shame the weekend ended. I would have loved to stay longer.
