The location is nice and it was mostly quiet. The day menus were okay and good value. The place itself feels outdated, with old furniture, and the pillows and mattress were too hard. I'd avoid room 106, which is right above the sliding entrance door. Cleaning was average: they didn't do a very thorough job, left empty glasses, and sometimes forgot the shampoo sachets.

The hotel is handy for the nearby beach, but the rooms feel like a step back in time. Breakfast offered plenty of choice, though the quality wasn't great. We had dinner there once, and it wasn't good: the paella was very salty and the pizza seemed to be a supermarket one reheated. It's a large hotel that appears to host coach groups, so it can get noisy, along with noise from the nearby train line.

It's a beautiful place, and the staff were friendly and helpful. We don't speak Spanish, but they always treated us well.

We liked the hotel's style and setting, and the views were pleasing. The staff were relaxed and friendly, and the beaches and restaurants are easy to get to.

It did what I needed. The train station is within walking distance, and there’s a lift, car park, restaurant and bar. Candas is about a 4-mile walk, roughly 6k's, with a beach and more restaurants and cafes there.
