The staff were a real high point, always attentive and super helpful. The campsite itself was crowded and noisy, though. It seems to be mostly seasonal, with lots of permanent trailers. The bathrooms weren’t very clean, and there weren’t enough for the number of people.
There was no hot water, and the beds weren’t good either. They advertise Wi-Fi, but it was locked away in a closet at the office, since there wasn’t any kind of Wi-Fi in our room or trailer. The overcrowded campground reminded me of a refugee camp.
The mobile home was clean, well equipped and had a nice view, and there’s a playground for children. The beach here is all right, though better ones are a 10-15 minute drive away. Camping Wi-Fi and mobile internet were nearly unusable, depending on the provider. That might be a good thing if you need a reason to disconnect 🙂
It’s a handy location, close to the beach and 10-15 minutes by car from Salinas. People around the site and the staff were friendly. Saturday night was too noisy because of live music, and the showers could do with instructions on how to use them.
There are only a few touring pitches here, as the campsite is mainly set up for seasonal stays. The facilities are clean.
