Finca Aldabra

After a hot day out, it was great to come back and enjoy the pool. The hosts were lovely, breakfast was good, and the bus ride to Granada and the Alhambra takes only about 30 minutes. A really nice base for exploring, highly recommended.

We had plenty of room to relax, and the balcony views were amazing. The breakfast was fabulous, with something for every taste. Everyone was so friendly and helpful that staying here was a delight. I'd gladly come back.

The hillside setting above Pinos Genil made for lovely valley views at sunrise and sunset. We spent NYE there and could watch fireworks across the valley from our balcony. We had no complaints about the room, balcony, hosts, or private toilet, which was spotless and had great water pressure. The property was clean, the rooms were cleaned each morning, and breakfast was a good buffet. Inma greeted us and said the family wanted us to feel at home, and they certainly made us comfortable. It's also a convenient drive to the nearby hiking areas, so we'd recommend staying here if you're visiting the region.

The nearest restaurants are in Pinos Genil, about 6 miles away, and a local taxi costs €7. The hotel has an 'honestly kitchen' where you can sign out drinks and food, including beers, wine, soft drinks, microwaveable meals and other items. The host family were brilliant, always attentive and helpful. Rooms each have their own design, and there's a lovely pool area and superb continental breakfast. What a fantastic hotel.
