Nundinae would be my first choice if I came back to Mérida. It sits on a quiet street, though bars and restaurants are close, and the theater and museum are about a 2-minute walk away, with the town center around 5 minutes away. The upper part of town also means lovely views and sunsets. We had two double bedrooms, a spacious bathroom, living and dining rooms, and a well-equipped kitchen, though there was no oven. The building has two apartments and a large roof terrace with two tables that seat about six each, handy for dinner or an evening drink. There’s no elevator, which could be difficult for people with reduced mobility. Mérida itself can also be challenging because of its layout and archaeological sites. Manuel was professional and welcoming from our first conversation, sharing information about places to visit and routes. He even saved a parking space with his car when we arrived, which made unloading much easier. The free spaces in front of the house are popular and hard to find, but there’s hourly parking on nearby streets. I visited other towns and was back in the afternoon, so I paid only €3 for parking over 7 days. I usually choose this kind of accommodation over hotels for the privacy and freedom, and Nundinae was exactly the right choice. I have very fond memories of our stay.

Pets are allowed, which made bringing my dog along easy. We didn’t need a car to get around Mérida because the apartment is so well placed, with everything close by. Inside, it was beautifully designed, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It was also very warm, and each room had its own air conditioning unit with a heat pump for when we felt cold. The landlord was charming, attentive, and helped us however he could. We had an unforgettable weekend and would book here again if we return to Mérida. Definitely recommend it.

Manuel has a way of making you feel at ease, and he pays attention to even the smallest details. He was already looking after things before we arrived, and he’s always attentive. There’s even a little bit of magic about him. The apartments are spectacular, close to everything, and nothing seems overlooked. Mérida is beautiful too. Thanks so much, Manuel. Manuel made us feel right at home, and we’re very grateful for how welcoming and attentive he was. He had the heating on when we arrived despite the cold in Mérida, and the apartment was spotless, spacious, tastefully decorated, and well equipped, with several air conditioners and blankets. He also gave us a quick talk about Mérida’s history, recommended places open on New Year’s Eve, and had a little extra something for us to celebrate. We spent New Year’s Eve with family in this apartment, right in the city center and close to the main sights. If you can’t find parking, you’ll need to use the metered zone or a free area about 5 minutes away, but there’s a loading and unloading spot right outside. We’d gladly repeat the stay and recommend it.

The terrace was spectacular, and the location in the heart of this wonderful monumental city meant we could see Mérida’s most important and striking monuments without needing a car. My partner and I spent the day at Apartamentos Nundinae with our pet, and we had no trouble bringing it along. Manuel, the owner, loves animals and made sure we were as comfortable as possible. The place was looked after down to the smallest detail, from the cleaning to the welcoming decor, which fits the Roman spirit, with details and bits of history in every corner. I can only thank them for the care and warm welcome. We’ll definitely return.
