Hotel Princesa de Eboli

The staff weren't particularly pleasant, there was no reception number in the room, and the restaurant didn't open until 20:30. For a 4* hotel, I expected more, though the stay was okay overall. The hotel says it has a 'Smoke free Policy', but my room smelled strongly of cigarettes. I kept the window open for both nights, and only on the second day did the room feel fresher after it had been open for 24 hours. The carpets, curtains, and wallpaper are old, so even if smoking stopped 5-10 years ago, the smell could still be trapped in them. A hotel claiming to be smoke free should put more effort into cleaning everything inside and out and getting rid of the odor.

Hotel Princesa de Eboli was a great surprise in the small town of Pinto. The property is very clean and well kept, and the service was warm and welcoming. The concierge was quick to respond to my requests before I arrived. Rooms are very comfortable, with kitchenettes in every room and two-bedroom options for larger families. The location suits anyone who'd rather stay outside central Madrid. Plaza del Sol is about 20 minutes away, and it's easy to get there by Metro, taxi, Uber, or similar. Thanks for hosting us!

Patricia and Rebecca made the service especially pleasant. They went out of their way to help me and my boy feel at home, so five stars for the staff. The hotel is clean and friendly, and Pinto is a good place to stay. There's a small kitchenette for cooking, but staff have to be asked to turn it on. The food was very good and the coffee was always hot. I'd definitely stay here again.

The breakfast was very good, and getting to Madrid was handy, about 20 minutes by train to Atocha. At one time, it must have been a real 4 star hotel, though not for a while now.
