The room was pretty small and nothing special. The TV was an old-fashioned square one, far too small. The bedroom had a great view, though, and the bed and bathroom were okay. The owner welcomed us nicely. We arrived around 10:30 PM and asked if we could get dinner, but felt like we were putting the cook and barman out. They served us anyway, and the food was fine. We ordered two claras but got two beers instead. It was okay overall, but the details matter, so hopefully these comments help improve things 😉

A lovely little hotel, and the owner was incredibly helpful. She and her son speak very little English, and I’m embarrassed to say I don’t speak any Spanish, but we managed to communicate just fine. They were so kind and generous when my van wouldn’t start. I’d happily stay again.

It’s a good place to switch off and spend a weekend relaxing. The local food and wine are a must. Service was okay, but for what we paid, I expected a fancier room and more comfortable beds.

The homemade dessert was the one thing I really enjoyed. We went to the restaurant on someone’s recommendation. It’s very rustic, all stone and wood, but felt too dark for a meal. The music wasn’t good either. I ordered the set menu, which cost €20 because it was the weekend. The portions were decent, but the churrasco seemed more boiled than grilled. My partner got separate dishes, and the value was awful, with portions that felt small, poor quality, and overpriced. Having worked as a restaurant waitress for 21 years, I got the impression they hadn’t been there long.
