Hotel Sant Pol

We were five and all left disappointed. The restaurant looked like a nice place to eat, but the staff seemed tired and uninterested. The food was basic and expensive.

Breakfast was included and a lovely surprise: local Catalan cold cuts, fresh fruit, pastries and even sparkling, red, white and rosé wine in the morning. From the kitchen to management, the whole team seemed to care about each guest. I stayed at HOTEL RESTAURANT SANT POL a week ago and I'm still impressed. My room had a sea view, just a few steps from the beach. Opening the balcony in the morning to breathe the Mediterranean air was one of those travel moments you remember. I've worked in hospitality and restaurants for nearly 20 years, and I felt they did things right here. I especially enjoyed Sant Pol Restaurant, right in the hotel. With so many other places nearby, I still chose to eat there most of the time. It has a warm, genuine atmosphere: you might come in for a quick glass of cava and stay for hours because of the conversation and welcoming feel. Big thanks to the restaurant and bar staff, who were professional, kind and truly hospitable. Hawa and Pol deserve a special mention, wonderful, dedicated people with natural charisma. Staff like them really carry the hospitality business. My food highlights were the rich, fresh, perfectly seasoned seafood soup, and the simple, delicious anchovy, tomato and salmon salad. I don't usually write reviews, but I wanted to say thank you. If I'm back in this part of Catalonia, I'll stay here again. Highly recommended.

We had a great week through 7 April. The hotel was quiet, but the staff were very pleasant and breakfast was excellent. Our room was cleaned daily and towels were changed every morning. We enjoyed beautiful sunrises and watching the water sports each day, with mostly good, sunny weather.

The place is amazing and the food is great. The menu del dia is very reasonably priced; the a la carte is a bit expensive, though probably worth it for the food quality. I'd highly recommend it. I would've given five stars for service too, except for one male table server who stomped off like a stroppy teenager after blaming us for a wrong order 😀 Keep an eye on this guy!
