H10 Lanzarote Princess

Ana and Ruben brought such fun energy to the art and wine workshop. We painted with everyone while having a glass of wine, and it was a lovely, relaxing thing to do together with my 7-year-old and my mum. The kids’ mini disco was great too. All the staff were friendly and attentive, and we really enjoyed our stay.

The kids club has been a real hit, my son’s loved going while we’ve been here. We also played tennis and went to the evening mini club disco, where we learned the songs. The staff have been gracious and accommodating, and breakfast has been great with plenty for everyone. lanzarote princess is perfectly placed for a short walk to playa dorado, marina rubicon and playa planca. We’ve had a truly wonderful stay and will definitely come back. Muchas Gracias!

The location by Playa Dorada is brilliant, and the beach is great for swimming. Our Junior suite was a good size, comfortable and quiet, and housekeeping did a very good job each day. But in the evenings an unpleasant smell seemed to come from the sea side, so we couldn’t leave the sliding doors open as we’d hoped. We were on half board. Dinner was good some nights and disappointing on others, with room to improve both the quality and variety for a 4-star hotel. The restaurant team didn’t seem as cheerful or friendly as staff at other hotels we’ve stayed at on the island, which gave us the impression they might be overworked and underpaid. Better food and restaurant hospitality would make this hotel more worth staying at.

Christmas Day was fabulous and really memorable, with pre-dinner cocktails and wine with the delicious meal. We also enjoyed the buffet breakfasts and dinners, lots of hot and cold choices, fried or grilled while you waited, and even a free glass of Cava with breakfast. Each evening there was entertainment, either live acts on the main stage or a singer at the bar. Our room was spacious and clean with a balcony, comfortable beds and a big TV. Climate control was easy to use, and the chambermaid service was brilliant and understanding. A problem with the safe was fixed quickly. The bathroom had a shower bath, WC, bidet and plenty of hot water, though the wash basin looked better than it worked and splashed water all over the floor. The gardens were gorgeous and everything was clean and tidy. There was lots of parking, and a rear gate made it easy to get to shops, restaurants and beaches. On the last day, we could use a courtesy room to shower and leave our bags. A tourist guide was available in the morning to help with information and things to do. The main pool was unheated and very cold in December. The mildly heated pool opened at 10am, while breakfast ended at 10:30am, so we couldn’t swim before breakfast, which was very disappointing on a half-board stay. I recently spent Christmas here with my son.
