Vanila Garden Hotel

Quiet at night, clean rooms, a good breakfast, and a convenient location. The staff were really friendly, and I’d definitely come back. The bed could’ve been better, but that was the only thing that wasn’t quite right.

I loved the cat, she’s so cute and friendly, and all the plants around the hotel were lovely. The welcome drink and all the information about the area were nice touches, too. Staff were friendly and accommodating, and breakfast was good. Rafa makes the best omelets. The downsides were the room floors, which weren’t cleaned properly, and big cockroaches in the hallways. I saw them almost every day, alive or dead. Some guests smoked by the pool, vapes included, and the smoke drifted into the rooms. Others dived or did backflips, splashing water onto the balconies. People also left towels on sunbeds and went away for breakfast or other things, sometimes for hours. Those things aren’t allowed under the hotel rules, but staff didn’t warn anyone or step in. I wish they would, and that guests would be more considerate. With the loud, often drunk teenagers around, the adults-only feel didn’t really exist. I’d recommend the hotel apart from those issues.

The breakfast was included and way better than we expected, with loads of options. The bar had nice drinks, too. Staff were extremely friendly, and after we mentioned our engagement shortly before the trip, they thoughtfully gave us prosecco and a fruit basket. Vanilla Garden Hotel (VG) was brilliant. The rooms were lovely and spacious, the pool area was great, and there were plenty of beds, umbrellas, and loungers. Towels were provided. The location worked well. It’s near Veronica Strip, which I’d definitely avoid, but not too close, and it was a nice walk to the golden mile. I’d highly recommend staying here.

There’s live music in the evenings until 10:00 PM, so keep that in mind if you like to turn in early. There was also some construction nearby that could disturb the peace if you’re planning to spend the whole day by the pool. We were out exploring most days, so it didn’t bother us. The hotel was clean, tastefully decorated, and well maintained, even if it’s not the newest. Staff were warm and welcoming throughout our stay. A special mention for the breakfast chef: his omelets were perfect, and his cheerful personality made every morning brighter. We had a great time and I’d definitely recommend it for a pleasant stay.
