Marola Park Apartmentos

I had symptoms of food poisoning on January 2nd and developed a high fever that evening. Even so, the hotel wouldn't let me push back checkout the next day, and I had to leave the room by 11 a.m. The next Finnish guests weren't due until around midnight that day, so extending my room stay by even a few hours would have been easy. When a hotel doesn't care about a customer's health, it brings the rating down and nothing else really matters. It also wasn't ideal for other guests that I had to spend the day using the pool area's restroom while ill. That's why I can't give anything but poor overall and service ratings. Otherwise, my rating would have been higher.

For our five-night stay, the room was great, with a kitchen just the right size for two and a lovely pool view. It was cleaned regularly, and the bedding and towels were changed often. Staff were kind and helpful. The pool bar was nice too, with a good choice of food and drinks for lunch. The pool was cleaned regularly, but whatever treatment they use turned my hair green, so keep that in mind if you have light or dyed hair. A €50 deposit was required for the ceiling-fan remote, and it was totally worth it. The location is perfect, with the beach, restaurants, bars, and shops all a five-minute walk away.

We had a lovely week at Marolla Park, and the guests during our stay ranged from age 20 and up. The hotel was spacious and very clean, in a peaceful area, with the beach and Golden Mile a short walk away. There's a small poolside bar with a food menu, and we couldn't fault the place. We'll be back. The staff were friendly and helpful, and they gave us a list of activities in the area. Air conditioning can be rented through reception. There are also restaurants and shops around the corner, including a Mercadona.

The walk to the main strip takes about 15-20 minutes, and it's a lovely one. My boyfriend and I stayed for five nights and really enjoyed it. We saw plenty of mixed reviews beforehand, but we genuinely couldn't fault the room, service, or stay. The staff were all lovely and accommodating, and our room was modern, clean, and spacious, with a beautiful balcony.
